I photographed M.’s big brother as a newborn. I can’t believe how quickly time has passed. He suddenly looks so big next to his little brother! Those first few weeks of having a newborn in your home are so incredible. It’s as if time stands still within your walls even though the world keeps moving forward in the world outside your home. Days are spent gazing at eyelashes and earlobes, counting little fingers and toes, feeling the small weight of a tiny body against your chest. Damiano and Stacey, once again, I feel so blessed that you have asked me to be a part of these first moments for both of your sons. They are so beautiful!

Luke and Dana, congratulations! Your little family is so beautiful. I’m looking forward to seeing you again in a few months. I’m sure W. is going to be full of chubby baby rolls and smiles. I can’t wait to see him interacting with his big sister.

Little Miss A. – One Week Old

I photographed Miss A.’s big sister as a newborn and it’s so hard to believe that she has grown so much. It was such an amazing experience to see this daddy bond with both of his little girls as newborns from behind my camera (As you all know, I have a soft spot for daddies and their daughters. I am downstairs in the living room while posting this blog entry. Mike went upstairs to check on Amelia. I thought he was coming back down, but now I can hear both of them snoring in unison through the baby monitor. He can never resist plunking a sleeping baby on his chest and using it as an excuse to also get some sleep).

Miss A. was one of the biggest newborn girls I have photographed, but when I arrived at the session, she still seemed soooo tiny to me. She is such a sweetheart and so cute. I love how big sister, R., is starting to have a mischievous side. Her little “scrunchy” smile has got to be the cutest thing. She just looks like she is up to something!

Theresa and Darcy, your daughters are oh so lovely. Enjoy these moments. In an instant, your girls will be grown.

Little Miss. M. – One Week New

I LOVED every minute of photographing this beautiful, little family. Their home was so peaceful, and tranquil, and filled with so much love. I have never felt so relaxed at a newborn session. Miss M. is so beautiful. I love her little lips and ears. Blake and Arielle, congrats on becoming three. I can’t wait to spend a year photographing your beautiful family!

Little Mr. C. was a bit older than the newborns I normally photograph, but he was such a sweetheart and slept so well for me. Because he was a little bit older, we were able to get some awake photos as well. The first few photos are with his firefighter Grandpa Mac at the firehall. Stephanie and Derek, congratulations. Nathalie, who would have thought that all those years ago when we worked together at Coffee Lodge, that we would be mamas together? Sometimes it seems so surreal how much time has passed and how much our lives have changed in the blink of an eye! You were glowing when you were waiting for little E. and are even more beautiful with your little man in your arms. He is perfect. I love every photo. E. is so lucky to have you and Greg for his mama and daddy. His life is going to be filled with so much laughter and so SO much love…

Mr. L. was such a sweetheart. I’ve been itching to photograph a newborn girl, but I had two days of the cutest little boys and love so many of the images from both of the sessions (the next one will be up in a few posts!).
