I photographed Miss G. about a year ago and she is still such a little cutie! Her mom contacted me to get some engagement and family photos done a few weeks ago. I love the way these turned out. Beautiful light. Beautiful family. Jeremy, you’ve got yourself two keepers! Sarah and Jeremy, congratulations on the engagement! Have a great time at your destination wedding!

Andrea and Corey are Engaged

Because I am no longer shooting weddings, I haven’t shot an engagement shoot in quite some time. Most couples have their engagement photos taken by their wedding photographer, but because these two are going to be married in Vegas their wedding is being photographed by someone there. I had so much fun on this session – it was so different not having to worry about bedtimes, sing The Wheels on the Bus, or make funny faces behind my camera. Andrea and Corey, it was great to meet you. Congratulations on your engagement and have an amazing time in Vegas! Thank you for asking me to capture this exciting time at the beginning of your life together (Be sure to bring me those babies in a few years!)

I don’t often do extended family sessions, but I agreed to do this session as a gift for Theresa’s mother because I have taken photos for Theresa several times before (Secretly, I just wanted an excuse to see the cutest little bald baby in Sarnia again! You might recognize adorable Miss R. from a few other blog posts. Here. here. and here.). I’m glad we had such a nice day for these photos. I had a great time. I hope you all enjoy your sneak preview!

p.s. This post is a little long because the night before the session, Krystyna and Ryan were engaged, so I took a few minutes at the end of the session to take a few photos of just the two of them to mark the special occasion…

Stu and April are Getting Married! – July 16th, 2010

I first met Stu and April a few years ago when I took their family photos (they were actually one of the first families I ever photographed). I showed up on the night of the engagement session thinking I was taking family photos again. I had prepped for a night with four teenagers and it ended up being just the two of them. We took their engagement photos at their family farm which has been in Stew’s family for over a century.We had a great time. Stu and April, good luck on the big day in August!

Reck and Diana are Engaged! – July 1st, 2010

I have known Diana since the first day of Jr. Kindergarten (back when she had adorable chubby cheeks and ribbons in her hair and wore corduroy jumpers). We remained friends all these years and even worked together at the Coffee Lodge through highschool (and after – we used to call ourselves “lifers” or “the original Lodgers” – yeah – I know – I’m a dork). When she asked me to photograph her wedding, I was thrilled (but I have to admit, I was also a little nervous). Reck, it was so nice to meet you. You and Diana are so perfect for one another.
