Baby. A. – 28 days new – August 31st ,2010

I have to admit, I was nervous arriving at this session. At 28 days old, Little Miss A. was the “oldest” newborn I have ever photographed. I didn’t know what to expect. Sleep was a challenge, but she was such a sweet little girl with the most soulful eyes. I love how newborn’s eyes always look like they are filled with so much wisdom (I don’t know if this makes any sense to anyone but me). Baby A.’s mommy Jen and I were chatting while I took the photos, and she said something that stuck with me. “I love both my boys so much, but I always felt like there was someone else missing.” A. is that person. She has been welcomed into this world with so much love from her two “big” brothers and her adoring parents. Jen, I’m looking forward to your family session in September.

Jacalyn & Karlis – August 30th, 2010

Jacalyn and Karlis, it was such a pleasure to photograph your wedding. It was such a beautiful day and you were all so much fun to work with. The ceremony and reception were perfect – right down to the last detail. I’m sure you are enjoying your new home in Dublin! Jacalyn, I hope this little sneak preview of the day gives you warm fuzzy feelings of home=)

Dave, Lindsay and Miss B. – August 28th, 2010

Dave and Lindsay, despite the overcast day, I’m glad we finally got to do your family photos! Miss B. is completely adorable! She has the most beautiful blue eyes. And Dave, I promise I’ve completely forgotten that you slapped me in the face (haha trying to get that pesky mosquito). Enjoy your sneak peek!

Lilah with a Lollipop…

I’m in the middle of album binding, and figured I had time to share just one photo today. The sweet little vintage dress Lilah is wearing was a gift from my brother’s girlfriend, Charlotte. Thanks, Charlotte! We love it! My baby looks so grown up in this photo…

Little Mr. C. – August 19th, 2010

Now that you’ve all seen his cute, chubby baby bum in my last post, it’s time to introduce you to Little Mr. C. This little cutie had such a great temperament. He was happy for the entire session. We got so many adorable photos despite the dreary, cloudy sky. Hopefully Mr. Sun comes out soon! This week it’s been overcast for all of my sessions. Despite what photographers might say about “overcast conditions” being the best for photos, I disagree. There’s nothing like the sun peeking through the trees on a warm evening…

I really want to post his name because it’s SOOOO RAD, but I’ll stick with C. because I haven’t been blogging names of kids incase the parents are worried about privacy and their little one being on the internet. You’ll just have to take my word that this little guy has such a cool name. Elise, your little boy is adorable. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek of the session!

Love, love, love the last photo. I wish he was my baby so I could have a B-I-G gallery wrap canvas made to hang on my wall….

I’m a little “behind” on this blog post….

butt it will be posted really soon!

McGill Family – August 11th, 2010

Loved this family! I thought photographing four kids was going to be a challenge because sometimes one three year old can be quite the (fun!) challenge, but these kids were so cooperative and amazing to work with. We finished the entire session in under an hour. Here’s a sneak peek of the adorable McGill Family (hopefully my family photos will look like this in 8 years if I stay pregnant for almost the next decade). Little Mr. J. (5th picture from the top – hanging out the van window – my favourite image from the session) was the one kiddo mom was worried about not smiling for the camera, but I got so many great shots of him. He was such a sweetheart (they all were!). Tanya and Rob, love the van, love your style, love your family! Hope you love your sneak peek of the session!

p.s. Happy 10th wedding anniversary!!! You are so blessed. Anyone wishing to send a little anniversary love to Tanya and Rob can leave comments below the photos in the comments section…

Charity & Shane – Maternity Session

I took Charity and Shane’s photos just over a week ago. It was a perfect night. Shane was so in love with his beautiful wife, and so excited about his little son or daughter. He got down on his knees to listen to his baby and kiss Charity’s belly (I think I might have teared up a few times – it must be all my own pregnancy hormones – that’s what my husband attributes any of my moods or tears to anymore). Usually men are a little shy or don’t want to get too close to the belly unless I ask them to. Not Shane. He was so affectionate. Charity, you are one lucky girl. Your little one is going to have such a doting Daddy. You are absolutely glowing and so beautiful (I hope the baby gets your adorable dimples!). It was great getting to know you during the session. I’m looking forward to hearing your birth story when I photograph your little one in a few weeks. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Peter, Emma, and Newborn Baby R. – July 25th, 2010

You might remember this couple from their maternity shoot. Well, now they are three! This little guy wasn’t so little for his newborn session. He reminded me a lot of Lilah when she was born. Lilah was such a big baby that she just skipped over that “curly” newborn stage and R. was very much the same. He was alert for most of his photos, which doesn’t happen very often at newborn sessions, so I got some great photos with his dark little eyes open. R.’s daddy is a volunteer firefighter in Port Lambton – so we headed over to the station for a few photos in front of the truck. Emma and Peter, congratulations! Thank for the double chocolate chip cookie! Yum! Enjoy your sneak preview and your precious little baby…..
